How to Automatically Login to Vista
- Click on Start (or press the Windows Key) and type
netplwiz
in the Start Search line. Press Enter - Acknowledge the User Account Control if it bugs you and it will.
- Just at the top of the User Accounts window, you have there a check box marked “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer,” if it’s checked, uncheck it.
- Click OK.
- If you’re the only user for the computer, Windows will automatically log you into your system the next time you start.
My desktop PC which is running on XP is set to this behavior. I’m running Vista on my laptop and as an extra security cushion, I’m not using this. But I assure you, this works.
